A prose poem is above all, brief. It must be formatted in paragraphs, preferably one. This diminutive size is part of what makes them tick. The result? Strange little houses. A form that's about as open-ended as it gets. They can be surreal. They can be angry. They can be daggers cast at political oppressors. They can be really, really funny.
